CARISOPRODOL

n. a drug belonging to the class of propanediols. First introduced as an anxiolytic drug, it has now been developed into a skeletal muscle relaxant. (Trade name: Soma) Due to its solubility in alcohol and other substances, however, it is fast-becoming a drug of abuse. See intoxicant- also intoxication.
