CONTAMINATION OBSESSION

an extreme preoccupancy with illness, filth, bacteria, soil, waste, phlegm, and more, based upon a feeling that the world is gross, decomposing, and slowly approaching death. In severe instances, it is though of as a sign of schizophrenic disorder.
