EROTOGENIC ZONE (Erogenous Zone)

An area of the body that is particularly susceptible to erotic stimulation. Three of these zones are considered primary: the oral, anal, and genital. In addition, the breasts and especially the nipples,in women (and to a lesser degree in men), the region surrounding the genital organs, and the other orifices of the body (nose, ears) are also invested with sexual feeling. The entire surface of the skin, particularly in regions close to the three primary zones, is also considered erogenous, as indicated by the pleasurable sensations experienced while being caressed or lightly stroked.
