FOOD ADDICTION

the name given to an eating disturbance where a person is preoccupied with weight, body image and food. Food is a source of pleasure. See binge eating disorder; bulimia nervosa.

FOOD ADDICTION: "A person with a food addiction will be a compulsive eater."
