FUNCTIONAL REORGANIZATION

These are the changes that occur after a brain injury to enable other areas of the brain to take over all or part of the functions performed by the injured area.

FUNCTIONAL REORGANIZATION: "Joe's brain did some functional reorganisation after his head injury."
