GOAL-DIRECTED BEHAVIOR

Behavior oriented toward attaining a particular goal. Identified by observing that the animal or person ceases search behaviour and engages in detour behaviour when it encounters obstacles to the goal.

GOAL-DIRECTED BEHAVIOR: "Goal directed behaviour deals with obstacles in gaining the goal."
