LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT (LRE)

found primarily in the U.S., a classroom which allows those of physical or mental disabilities the best chance at receiving new information in an educational setting, otherwise a school but for those with a learning disability.

LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT (LRE): "For counties who cannot provide effective teaching for mental disabilities, a least restrictive environment, or school for those with learning disabilities is set up."
