METHOD OF LIMITS

is an experimental technique which is used to determine the threshold of sensory feeling by either gradually increasing or decreasing the magnitude of the stimulus presented in discrete steps until the stimulus becomes noticeable by the participant, at this point the threshold level has been reached.

METHOD OF LIMITS: "The method of limits involves determining a threshold value for a stimulus using the participant as the main reporter."
