NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF)

was setup by the National Science Foundation Act of 1950 after being passed in the U.S. Congress. The NSF has five main priorities, goals or aims- promote the progress of science, to advance national health, to advance national prosperity, to advance national welfare amongst the populate and to secure the defence of the nation.
