NEEDS ASSESSMENT

is an umbrella term used to describe a range of meanings. One such being evaluating the needs of a community for individual for the installation of a specific service for example- is a bus route needed through a remote village? Perceived needs are typically examined from a wide range of angles, not just the one that specifically concerns the service, if everyone has a car then a bus route would be unnecessary for example.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT: "A needs assessment is typically carried out by a company or governmental body to determine whether an individual requires a treatment or level of benefit from federal funds."
