NOETIC MEMORY

first proposed by Estonian-born Canadian psychologist Endel Tulving (1927 - ) who proposed that noetic memory is the middle level of memory in the hierarchy proposed in the typically archic theory.

NOETIC MEMORY: "An awareness of ones knowledge or level of understanding about a subject is otherwise known as noetic memory."
