PASSIONATE LOVE

a form of love wherein carnal passion and a high level of emotional arousal are major factors- in addition to companion-based love, it is one of the two primary kinds of love recognized by cultural psychologists. Passionate lovers commonly are very preoccupied with the loved individual, desire that their feelings be returned, and are generally very upset whenever the union seems awry.

PASSIONATE LOVE: "Passionate love is often present in the initial phases of a new relationship."
