with regard to psychoanalytic theory, a trend of narcissistic behavior exemplified by vanity, excessive self-assurance, boastfulness, compulsive carnal behavior, and in some instances, violent or exhibitionistic behavior. Commonly referred to as phallic character- phallic-narcissistic character- phallic-narcissistic character.
