PRIVILEGE

Particularly in the medical realm, the information relating to care, treatment and diagnoses directed by a professional in treatment of a patient. As in: "privileged information" or doctor-patient privilege.

PRIVILEGE: "The information regarding the patient's medications was generally considered privileged."
