PSEUDOHERMAPHRODITISM

Congenitally, an abnormality in which the gonads (ovaries or testicles) are of one sex, but contradictions exist with the criteria of the sex represented. For instance, a female may have ovaries with partially male characteristics such as a clitoris resembling a penis or labia majora resembling a scrotum. On the male side, the subject may have incomplete masculinization, with perhaps a small penis and testicle-free scrotum.

PSEUDOHERMAPHRODITISM: "Pseudohermaphroditism is characterized by conflicting sexualization of the individual."
