PSYCHOGENIC HALLUCINATION

Different from physiological hallucinations, which can be brought on by drugs, alcohol or brain injury, a psychogenic hallucination is caused by psychological factors.

PSYCHOGENIC HALLUCINATION: "Seeing his mother smiling from the window, even though she had been dead many years was a psychogenic hallucination for Carl."
