PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS AFFECTING MEDICAL CONDITION

Those psychological and/or behavioral factors adversely affecting the course, treatment or outcome of an existing medical condition. These factors range from mood, personality disorders, responses to stress and any other behavior detrimental to the health of the patient. A wide array of medical conditions can be affected by psychological components of health and personality.

PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS AFFECTING MEDICAL CONDITION: "One of the psychological factors affecting her medical condition was her addiction to tobacco."
