PSYCHOLOGICAL NEED

As opposed to a biological need, a psychological need is something that is essential for the maintenance of mental health. The need itself can be manifested internally or externally.

PSYCHOLOGICAL NEED: "Approval from his father was turning into a real psychological need for the boy."
