REFLEXOLOGY

Therapeutic model in alternative medicine which focuses on the reflex actions of a subject. A belief that any behavior can be understood by application of reflex combinations. Therapy using the principle of reflex zones in the hands and feet; health benefits accrue when these zones are manipulated. See also: complementary medicine; alternative medicine.
