RUNNER'S HIGH

Feeling of euphoria encountered by a number of cross-country running enthusiasts and joggers as they approach the conclusion of a run. The sensation of elation is considered to be related to the body's manufacture of endorphins in the course of physiological strain. See also: endorphins.
