SALTATION

Discontinuous movement by dancing or leaping, transition, or development; advancement by leaps. Jerky dancing or leaping that sometimes occurs in chorea. Nerve impulse conduction along myelinated nerves. In genetics, an abrupt variation in species; a mutation. Sudden increases or changes in the course of an illness.

SALTATION: "Saltation may occur in individuals with chorea."
