SAUCE BEARNAISE EFFECT

Layman's terminology for food aversion which arises from illness presenting after a new food is tried, regardless of whether the food actually caused the illness. See also: prepared learning.

SAUCE BEARNAISE EFFECT: "When she got ill from eating spaghetti, the sauce Bearnaise effect came into play, and she never tried spaghetti again."
