SCREENING TEST

Assessment process intended to distinguish individuals or items in accordance with a set attribute or feature. Generally employed to differentiate individuals who have an illness, dysfunction, or predisease indicator from individuals who do not.

SCREENING TEST: "Screening tests have been developed for many types of cancer."
