SEVERITY ERROR

a rating error where ratings are consistently overly negative especially with the regard to sex-influenced character to the performance or ability of participants. Compare leniency error.

SEVERITY ERROR: "A severity error is caused by a rater to be too strict or negative and give undeservedly low scores."
