idea, element, or picture that exemplifies other thing/idea. It can be logo, flag, picture. In literature symbolic words are used to present idea indirectly, in a suggestive manner; 2. In psychology, this is masked presentation of hidden desire; 3. In the traffic this is picture that is supposed to guide drivers how to behave on certain part of the road.
