A group who does not, at the time (in context), have a leader or figurehead through which executive decisions are typically made. In some cases an interim leader will be appointed.

LEADERLESS GROUP: "Groups without leaders, typically fail, due to a lack of leadership, they are otherwise known as leaderless groups."
