LIBIDO-BINDING ACTIVITY

a technique first proposed by the Russian-born U.S. psychotherapist Samuel Richard Slavson which aims to bind new activities which previously would not have stimulated the libido to replace those that would have.

LIBIDO-BINDING ACTIVITY: "Libido-binding activities work to replace activities or events that would have triggered the libido with other events or triggers."
