PHOTOMETER

a tool which gauges the severity of light, taking into consideration the vulnerability of the human visual system to light of varying wavelengths. This measurement is varied from that of the amount of energy generated by a light source.

PHOTOMETER: "All three photometers have broken this semester- the board has agreed to approve purchases of new ones rather than repairing the broken ones."
